Holy places like qadamgah (the place of holy people step), in different religions or Islamic sects, have always respected. Some of these qadamgahs in Iran belong to Imam Reza (AS) and his sisters or brothers. “Beyt-o-nour”, Hadhrat Ma'sumehʼs (SA) qadamgah, is one of the most important qadamgah. In this study, “Beyt-o-nour” has been examined by anthropological approach. For this purpose, two types reports of its current situation, “objective” and “analysis”, have been provided by comprehensive introduction of target of study, historical identity and geographical location of the place. In objective report, , the customs, ceremonies and pilgrims’ experiences or emotions have been examined by using the qualitative method of anthropology, cooperative observation technique, document review and interview. In analysis report, we tried to explore the meaning of the activists’ subjective and hidden layers. Finding of study show “Beyt-o-nour” had given the Qomish people identity. Activists had been effective to deepen the effect of Hadhrat Ma'sumehʼs (SA) journey by simulating brotherhood relation between Imam Reza (AS) and Hadhrat Ma'sumeh (SA) to Imam Hussein (AS) and Hadhrat Zeinab(SA) brotherhood relation.

Resorting to Prophet (Muhammad) and Imams ‘P.B.U.H.’ is one of the special privileges of Shiite religion that come from verses from Koran and traditions. Any of twelve Imams (AS) is a sign of The Names of God (asmāʾ allāh al-ḥusnā) therefore when someone wants to resort them must pay attention to it. Since Safavid painters had special sight and philosophical bases and principals with roots in Shiite beliefs and Persian deep culture illustrated Shiite contents. The main goal of this paper is study of visual displays of resorting to Imam Reza (AS) via an iconographic approach. This dynamic and multilateral approach is regarded to reach to meaning and content of artwork, specially Persian painting that has a various and complicated collection of social, psychological, mystical and moral values is visual beauty, because this interpreted method of artwork includes three strategic stages: identification, description, analysis and interpretation of artworks that cause to develop researches as systematic studies. Its data baser relies largely on library sources and printed materials. The result suggests that one of appropriate approaches of study Persian painting is iconographic analysis because recognize every era involves in historical information about present revolutions and written culture of describer and reaching to symbolic in visual language that age and iconology can provide this purpose. - What iconic meanings are there in this illustration’s visual elements?- Painters’ Shiite beliefs, what impacts have had on illustrating their works?
